WHERE WILL THE STUDENTS BE STAYING WHILE IN BELLE GLADE?
All students, leaders, and staff will be staying at Glades Day School located at 400 Gator Blvd. in Belle Glade. Students will sleep on the floor in classrooms and different multi-purpose rooms. There will be access to restrooms and showers on campus.
WHAT ABOUT TRANSPORTATION?
Students will travel to and from Belle Glade on school buses. These same buses will take students from the school to their ministry sites and back each day as well. All students and leaders are expected to ride the bus at all times. No students will be driving while on the trip.
WHAT KIND OF SECURITY IS PROVIDED WHILE IN BELLE GLADE?
We provide 24-hour security to insure the safety of our students and leaders. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Department will be patrolling the campus as well as all ministry sites and our Christ Fellowship Point (Security) Team will provide additional support and protection.
WHAT IS THE TIME COMMITMENT OF THIS TRIP?
In order to participate in Belle Glade, ALL students must participate in three important pre-trip Village Meetings as well as one post-trip Village meeting. These meetings are essential in helping students learn about the history & culture of Belle Glade, build relationships with students in their village, and get specific ministry training.
In addition to these Village Meetings, ALL students must participate in myLife, a two-week experience designed to help students connect, grow and serve in our Student Ministry. myLife will take place at all campuses on the following dates:
March 25th & April 1st from 9:00 – 10:05 am April 22nd & 29th from 9:00 – 10:05 am
